Hey, I'm Rachel
Whether this is your first time considering therapy or you’ve been through the process before, you probably know that finding the right fit is key. This is because beneath all the therapeutic approaches, diagnostic language, and clinical jargon is a human relationship.
So let me tell you a bit more about who I am as a therapist to help you determine if we might be a good fit.
MY ROLE
I'm here to come alongside you on your journey.
I’m fond of this illustration that depicts how people often experience the therapeutic relationship.
I see therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we work to unblock the natural flow of intuition, get to know your strengths, and explore solutions that empower you to live authentically in every area of life.
Sometimes this means helping you untangle that ball of string, offering a fresh perspective, and equipping you with practical tools. Other times it may simply mean providing validation and listening without judgment, encouraging you to tap into your own rich source of inner truth.
Ultimately, my role is to hold space for healing and facilitate
growth.

Our true nature is like a precious jewel: although it may be temporarily buried in mud, it remains completely brilliant and unaffected.
We simply have to uncover it.

My Approach
MY APPROACH
No two journeys will look the same and as such, I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.
The most recent edition of The SAGE Encyclopedia of Theory in Counseling and Psychotherapy lists over 300 different evidence-based approaches to therapy.
I therefore take a humanistic, integrative approach to therapy that accounts for an individual’s personality, worldview, history, and context. I strive to meet you where you are currently on your journey through life, drawing from:
Psychoanalysis / Shadow Work
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy
Somatic Psychotherapy / Embodiment Practices
Internal Family Systems / Parts Therapy
The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.
